“’Maybe’ is not weakness but a space where things can still grow,” says Sascha Ring. “The ‚Hum‘ is that undercurrent of potential – not a clear yes or no, but the in-between where life happens.”

Over the years, APPARAT has built a reputation for immersive live shows at festivals and concert halls around the globe, including performances at Sónar, Primavera Sound, and Palais de la Découverte for ARTE Concert. APPARAT’s last full-band tour took place during the early days of the pandemic, when live music was largely on hold. His music has also reached a worldwide audience through acclaimed syncs, most notably with the title track for the Netflix hit series „Dark“.

Japanese electronic artist Kikuo will bring his surreal art to Budapest as part of his Kikuoland: Above All Bounds world tour, performing at Dürer Kert on March 16.
Kikuo’s music is both dazzling and unsettling – blending sweet melodies with darker undertones. He began sharing his original songs online in the early 2000s, and in 2010 he discovered his distinctive style through the use of Vocaloid, the singing-synthesizer software best known for virtual characters like Hatsune Miku. Since then, Kikuo has become one of the most influential figures in the Vocaloid world, recognized for his unique sound and emotionally charged compositions.
Following the success of his previous world tour, Kikuoland: Go-Round – which included 41 shows across 38 cities in 19 countries – the visionary artist is once again setting out on the road, carrying his surreal songs across the globe.
His newly announced second world tour, Kikuoland: Above All Bounds, will kick off in Europe and the United Kingdom, and this spring Hungarian audiences will have the chance to experience his live performance for the very first time.
Ahead of the tour announcement, Kikuo surprised fans with a new single, “Rainborn Menoko,” which premiered during his headline appearance at YouTube Music Weekend. He has also promised that more new tracks will be released before the tour begins.

Tickets will be available first to members of Kikuo’s official fan club starting October 29 at 11 a.m., while general ticket sales will open on October 31 at 11 a.m. at www.livenation.hu.

One of the most exciting and wildest duos on the international alternative hip-hop scene, Joey Valence & Brae (JVB for short), will play their first-ever headline show in Hungary as part of the HYPERYOUTH WORLD TOUR. The duo will perform at Dürer Kert on May 29, coming straight from their ongoing world tour, which BBC Radio 1 host Jack Saunders described as “the best live show I’ve seen in years.”

Originating from Pennsylvania, Joey Valence & Brae have grown into a true global phenomenon over the past four years, becoming one of the most energetic live acts in contemporary alternative hip-hop. Their third studio album, HYPERYOUTH, released under RCA Records, elevates the duo’s sound to a new level: a sample-heavy, maximalist sonic explosion fusing 90s hip-hop aesthetics, drum’n’bass pulses, and electronic music.

The record features guest appearances from JPEGMAFIA, Rebecca Black, and TiaCorine, and every track was written and produced by Joey himself from start to finish in his bedroom in State College. HYPERYOUTH delivers a message that is mature yet youthful — “growing up without getting old” — while preserving the raw energy and humor of the duo’s early hits.

Aldous Harding in Budapest for the first time!


Courtney Barnett was among the first to recognize her talent, while her distinctive musical world has drawn comparisons to artists such as David Byrne and Laurie Anderson.

Although Aldous Harding grew up as the child of musician parents, for a long time she did not intend to follow them into the profession. Yet her musical ambitions eventually caught up with her, taking shape in a remarkably sensitive and compelling singer-songwriter. On June 25, audiences in Budapest will finally have the chance to immerse themselves in her delicate songs as Aldous Harding performs her very first concert in Budapest, at Dürer Kert.

New Zealand-born singer-songwriter Hannah Harding, known by her stage name Aldous Harding, first came to wider attention with her 2015 self-titled debut album. The record earned critical acclaim for its gothic indie folk sound and raw emotional intensity, drawing comparisons to artists such as PJ Harvey and Kate Bush. Her subsequent albums – Party (2017), Designer (2019), and Warm Chris (2022) - marked a shift toward a more abstract, off-kilter indie pop direction, evoking names like David Byrne and Laurie Anderson. Harding grew up in the town of Lyttelton near Christchurch, New Zealand, to musician parents.

She was just 13 years old when she first appeared on a recording, singing on her mother Lorina Harding’s album Clean Break. Despite this early experience, she initially had no desire to pursue a career in music, believing it to be an uncertain path. A few years later, however, she gave up her ambitions of becoming a veterinarian after she began writing songs and singing with a close friend and fellow musician. Music, it turned out, was inescapable. By 2008, she was performing backing vocals for the traveling string band The Eastern, and her early breakthrough came when Courtney Barnett spotted her busking and immediately invited her to open for her show later that same evening.

In 2012, Harding changed her first name to Aldous and asked John Parish and Ben Edwards to co-produce what would become her debut album. The self-titled release received widespread critical praise, followed by extensive touring. For her second album, she signed with the British independent label 4AD and once again collaborated with John Parish (PJ Harvey, Tracy Chapman). Party was released in 2017 and was nominated for Album of the Year in New Zealand. After completing a 100-date tour, Harding returned to the studio with Parish to record her third album, Designer, released in 2019. This was followed by Warm Chris in 2022, featuring contributions from John Parish, Seb Rochford, Gavin Fitzjohn, Colin Killalea, Hopey Parish, and Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods).

Although Aldous Harding’s gentle yet daring, story-driven songs have inspired many listeners worldwide, Hungarian audiences have never had the chance to see her live-until now. On June 25, she will perform in Budapest for the very first time at Dürer Kert.

After David Bowie's unexpected death in 2016, Hungarian musicians decided to commemorate one of pop culture's most influential artists with a concert featuring Bowie songs and details of his life's work on the A38 Ship. Although the concert was planned as a one-off event, both the musicians and the audience wanted a repeat performance.

So this year, the musician friends will take the stage for the 10th time. Over the years, songs performed with Bowie's fellow musicians (Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, John Lennon, Mick Jagger, Brian Eno, Bob Dylan, Marc Bolan) have also been included in the program, which is why they chose the name Bowie & Friends.

At this birthday concert, the band will perform a selection of songs from their shows over the past ten years.

One of the most influential electronic music formations from the United Kingdom, Cabaret Voltaire will celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first performance with a series of concerts. Budapest is among the lucky stops on the tour, and on June 3 the iconic group will finally perform live in Hungary at Dürer Kert.
Cabaret Voltaire’s first performance took place on May 13, 1975 at the Sheffield Students' Union Refectory. The date also marks the launch of one of Britain’s most influential and pioneering electronic bands. The group was originally active until 1994, featured Chris Watson until 1981 and Stephen Mallinder until 1994. The name was used as a solo project of Richard H. Kirk until 2009. Kirk passed away in 2021. Last year, however, Watson and Mallinder returned to the place of their first concert, and this year they have announced several performances to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary.

As they point out, the band’s sounds, words and visual works still resonate strongly today, continuing to challenge the status quo in an era marked by social upheaval and political manipulation. At this year’s concerts, the experimental formation aims to present their essential body of work, as Watson and Mallinder remain committed to staying true to Cabaret Voltaire’s original vision. The show will offer an overview of the band’s remarkable output: from the early experiments and the first releases on Rough Trade Records and Factory Records, through the band’s own Doublevision label, to collaborations with renowned producers such as Adrian Sherwood and Marshall Jefferson.

Speaking about the performances, Stephen Mallinder said:
“The live set has been rebuilt completely from scratch but remains faithful to the original tracks. Everything has been painstakingly reconstructed using the original technologies and processes that were used to create the music at the time. At the same time, as with all Cabaret Voltaire live shows, there is an element of unpredictability and the new. Chance meets causality.”
Chris Watson added:“I’m delighted and hugely excited to contribute to the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations. It will be a great privilege to share a stage with Mal once again and to honour Cabaret Voltaire’s legacy. At the same time, it is important to remember that in today’s times - just as back then - the Dadaist interventions of Cabaret Voltaire remain essential.”

Cabaret Voltaire have never previously performed in Hungary, so the June 3 concert promises to be a truly special occasion, when audiences will finally be able to experience them live at Dürer Kert for the first time.
