Swedish masters of melancholic heaviness, Katatonia, are getting ready to embark on their newest tour “Waking State Of Europe” bringing their latest album to Budapest, Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State released last year.

➤ KATATONIA
For nearly 30 years, the band has continued to make waves across both the progressive rock and metal scenes. From their death-doom metal roots to the post-metal sound they have developed over the years, their art has remained just as haunting and chilling as ever. Their latest album, Nightmares as Extensions of the Waking State, marks the next step in this evolution. The album highlights the interplay between silence and intensity, while the contrast of heavy riffs, delicate guitar harmonies, ethereal synthesizers, and atmospheric nuances create captivating tension.

➤ BONNIE TRASH
Accompanying the five-piece is Canadian post-punk group Bonnie Trash. The band is the project of Canadian twin sisters Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor, blending post-punk with the brooding sound of goth rock. Rather than fashioning nightmares into reality, they paint reality itself as a nightmare, rife with pain, suffering, and gothic drama.

➤ Tickets go on sale on November 6 at 11 AM at Tixa.
